Brightwell appoints Elspeth Lynch as Chief Legal, Governance and Compliance officer

Brightwell, the comprehensive services provider for defined benefit (DB) pension schemes, has appointed Elspeth Lynch as its new Chief Legal, Governance and Compliance Officer.

Elspeth joins Brightwell from Bank of America, where she spent over 20 years in a range of senior legal and governance roles, most recently serving as EMEA Co-General Counsel and EMEA Head of Corporate Secretary. In that role, she co-led the bank’s EMEA legal function, overseeing around 160 legal professionals across multiple jurisdictions and supporting a full-service investment bank on a broad range of legal, regulatory and risk matters.

    Pension Insurance Corporation plc (‘PIC’), a specialist insurer of defined benefit pension schemes, has completed the buyout of all 36,000 members of the Rolls-Royce UK Pension Fund ('the Fund'), just nine months after signing a £4.3 billion full buy-in with the Trustee.  In order to achieve continuity of service, including the Trustee’s digitally focussed approach, PIC has appointed Brightwell as its administration partner.
