Mike Bussey joined the Brightwell Board in June 2026. He brings extensive international experience in financial services, having spent over 20 years with HSBC Group in senior leadership roles across Asia, the Gulf, Africa, North America and the UK. He subsequently served for a decade as Chief Executive of three global private banking and trust businesses.

Since 2011, Mike has built a portfolio of chair and non-executive roles, reflecting his strong governance expertise and strategic leadership. He is currently Chair of Deutsche UK Bank Ltd, a position he has held since 2020, and was appointed Chairman of The London Clinic, the UK’s leading private charitable hospital, in 2024.
